• Lost in Namibia: A Travel Experience to Remember

  

  The trip, spanning four countries and over 4700 km, ended in Namibia where we experienced significant challenges. Upon returning our rental truck, we discovered all our belongings were stolen. After filing police reports and obtaining emergency passports from the U.S. Embassy, we returned to South Africa, concluding their journey.

  After leaving Johannesburg, the expedition transitioned to Windhoek, Namibia, where preparations for a self-drive adventure began. Namibia, the driest sub-Saharan country, carries a complex history marked by German colonialism and the struggle for independence from South African apartheid, achieved in 1990. Windhoek serves as a gateway to Namibia’s unique landscapes.
